KARACHI: Site body slams power breakdowns

KARACHI, June 19: The SITE Association of Industry has criticized the frequent power break downs by the KESC in the industrial area.

In a statement here on Wednesday, the chairman of the Water and Power Sub-Committee of the Association, Zubair Motiwala, said that unannounced loadshedding, transient faults and other problems in the distribution system of the KESC were severely disturbing the industries.

He said loadshedding was causing a production loss of Rs490 million per day to the industries. — APP
