Four shot dead in 3 incidents

FAISALABAD, June 16: Four people were shot dead in different incidents in and around the district here on Sunday.

Falak Sher and his son Muhammad Ali were attacked by five people Amir Ali, Boota, Mustafa, Rehmat and Yaseen at Chak 57-RB over a marriage dispute. They sustained serious bullet wounds and died on the way to hospital.

Villager Akbar Bhatti was shot dead by his opponents at Chak 218-GB in the limits of Tarkhani police station. He was working in the fields when the incident occurred.

Some masked armed men opened fire on Muzaffar Khan in Gharibabad in the jurisdiction of Factory Area police station. He died on the spot. The assailants escaped from the scene.

STERN ACTION: Tehsil Municipal Administration (city) Nazim Mumtaz Ali Cheema has said that corrupt and inefficient employees will be taken to task.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he said despite financial constraints efforts were being made for providing maximum civic facilities to the people.

He said special attention was also being paid to beautify city roads, green belts, parks and open spaces with the community participation.

COMMITS SUICIDE: A married woman committed suicide by taking poison in Muzaffar Colony here on Sunday.

Shazia Parveen had fallen out with her husband over a family dispute.

Police have registered a case and are investigation.
