QUETTA, June 16: At least two tribesmen were killed and five others were injured in an armed clash between Rind and Buladi tribes in Tumbo area on Sunday.
The tribal groups took position against each other over a land dispute and opened firing with automatic weapons, killing two persons on the spot and injured five others.
The injured were rushed to the Dera Murad Jamali hospital and later were shifted to Quetta for further treatment.
One victim was Mohammad Buladi. The name of the other deceased could not be ascertained.
Firing continued for several hours, during which the groups fired rockets on each other’s positions.
The administration cordoned off the area and succeeded in stopping further clashes with the help of tribal elders and levies.
Mohammad, Sajad Ali, Mirdad, Jatoi Khan and Suhbat Khan were injured.
Contingents of levies and Balochistan reserve police was deployed for averting clashes.
