PESHAWAR, June 16: Provincial president of Awami National Party Nasim Wali Khan has greeted Hamid Karzi for being elected as president of Afghanistan.

In a press statement issued here on Sunday, she said that it was a great achievement of Hamid Karzai to successfully convene the Loya Jirga in Afghanistan and assemble all the tribes on a single platform to kick-start the new era of progress and prosperity.

Terming Hamid Karzai a beacon for the Afghan nation, Nasim Wali stated that Loya Jirga was the only solution to bring peace to the country, which had experienced factional fighting and bloodshed for the past 23 years.

“Afghans had always solved their problems through Loya Jirga in the past and after the formation of Loya Jirga they will be again able to resolve their problems amicably.

The Afghan nation is now on the right track as President Hamid Karzai has a broad vision and is a capable person to steer his country out of crisis,” she maintained.
