PESHAWAR, June 14: A 40-year-old woman was killed and a minor boy,7, was among three others who received injuries in the head-on-collision of a passenger van with a truck on Thursday, here at Bara Road near Pishtakhara Bala Petrol Pump.

Driver of the van, Lalzada son of Ameerzada, lodged an FIR with Pishtakhara Police Station, stating that he was on his way to Peshawar with some passengers when the truck collided head-on at Bara Road.

As a result, the elderly woman died on the spot while minor Nauman son of Delshad, truck cleaner Basit Ullah and another woman were injured.

The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital where the woman was stated to be still unconscious. The truck driver fled after the accident.
