Two killed in accident

FAISALABAD, June 10: Two boys were crushed by a speeding truck on the Canal Road here on Monday.

Abdul Waheed and Sajid Ali were hit when they were trying to cross the road. They died on way to hospital.

Police have registered a case against the absconding truck driver.

SHOT DEAD: A youth was shot dead allegedly by two of his brothers over a monetary dispute in Chak 44-GB on Sunday night.

Brothers Riasat Ali, Rafaqat Ali and Shafqat Ali developed an altercation over the issue of distribution of amount received after selling their landed property. Riasat was gunned down by his brothers during scuffle.

Tarkhani police have registered a case.

DEMO AGAINST POLICE: Residents of Satiana blocked traffic in protest against police failure to check robberies.

Superintendent of police (city), on the orders of district police officer rushed to the spot and held discussions with the protesters. The DPO suspended Satiana police station SHO Aslam Sher on the charges of dereliction of duty.

The protesters dispersed peacefully on hearing the news of the SHO’s suspension.
