ISLAMABAD, June 7: The visa section of the British High Commission announced on Friday that it has resumed issuing certain types of visa.

For the time being, applications will be considered only in the most urgent compassionate and medical treatment cases and for returning residents, says a High Commission news release.

Applications must be made through local offices of Gerry/ Fed-ex. No applications will be accepted at British High Commission offices.

The visa section is unable to offer a service for other applicants until further notice. The visa sections in Karachi and Lahore would remain closed, it said.—APP
