KARACHI, June 7: The FIA Immigration arrested a passenger at the airport on Friday while he was attempting to travel on a forged Saudi visa and protector clearance.
Immigration sources said when the passenger, Habib Khan, appeared at the immigration counter, his passport was checked which revealed that the visa for Saudi Arabia and the protector clearance stamps affixed on his passport were suspected to be forged.
During interrogation, he disclosed that his visa and other travel documents were arranged by an agent, Hafiz Hammad. He brought him to the airport and handed the passport, air ticket, etc, with the direction to go inside the international departure lounge and get his boarding card.
The agent told him that in case of any problem, he should contact him over mobile phone and he would resolve the matter.
After the passenger was intercepted, immigration officials told him to call the agent. He rang up the agent and asked him to come immediately at the airport as he had failed to get the boarding card. After some time the so-called agent came to the airport and contacted the passenger. He was arrested.— APP
