Chitral EDO castigated

CHITRAL, June 5: Members of the district council castigated the executive district officer for denying protocol to them during Health Minister Abdul Malik Kansi’s visit to Chitral the other day.

The criticism came at a hurriedly called meeting of the council. The officer tendered an unconditional apology to the house. However, the members pressed ahead with their demand of taking action against the health department.

The emergency session was convened to pass a resolution against the health department officers who did not invite the speaker of the house to sit beside the minister on the stage.

Through the resolution, it was demanded of the government to make it mandatory for the EDOs to inform the district council and extend protocol to the members during a visit by a VIP to Chitral.
