CHITRAL, March 17: More than 300 people got loan from the House Building Finance Corporation within a short period after the establishment of its office here.
District manager of HBFC Zar Nabi Khan said that the “Ghar Aasan” scheme is being enthusiastically awaited here by the public which promises better and easier credit facilities to the people of low income group.
He said that the impending scheme is expected by June next. He expressed his satisfaction over the clearance of dues by the customers and said that above 60 per cent of them are regular payees of their instalments.
He, however, said that a crackdown will be initiated by March 25 on defaulters and stern action will be taken against them so that other needy persons may be benefited from the money.
He added that the HBFC is giving due attention to this remote and backward area and the applicants are responded promptly.
