SARGODHA, March 14: People should create harmony and brotherhood among their ranks to thwart evil designs of the enemies of the country.

This was said by tehsil Nazim Tasnim Qureshi at a ceremony on Thursday to award a cheque for Rs200,000 to the Nazim of union council No 123, Rana Afzal Ahmad.

Mr Qureshi said under the new local body system, elected representatives were responsible for the law and order situation in their area.

He assured Rana Afzal that he would be provided development funds on priority.

The newly created union council No 123 is functioning without its own building and furniture.

Nazim Qureshi promised to provide office and other accessories at the earliest.
