EPB to hold Export convention

KARACHI, March 6: The Export Promotion Bureau will organize an ‘export convention’ in April for promotion of Pakistani exporters, Minister of State and EPB Chairman Tariq Ikram said here on Wednesday.

Speaking as chief guest at inaugural session of the EC-Saarc workshop on the European Union’s Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP) and Regional Cumulation, Tariq Ikram said more export conventions would be held in other cities soon.

The workshop was jointly organized by the FPCCI and Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Federation House.

Tariq Ikram said that the exhibitions of a variety of Pakistani products would also be held on the occasion of export conventions.

Ambassadors and commercial officers of various embassies would be invited so that Pakistani exporters would have direct interaction. These convention would help exporters understand the geography and specific requirement in a particular country, he added.—APP
