DERA GHAZI KHAN, March 2: Protesting the torture of a driver allegedly by a Frontier Works Organization employee, truckers blocked the Dera-Multan Road by parking their vehicles on the Ghazi Ghat bridge on Friday night.

According to details, an FWO employee beat up a truck driver over a minor issue at 11pm. Other drivers halted their vehicles over the bridge and refused to clear the track unless the ‘guilty’ was punished.

A Dharama police party reached the spot and got the blockade lifted at 1am on Saturday.

The matter was reportedly resolved by a senior FWO officer who promised to sack the accused employee.

SHOW: The annual horse and cattle show opens here on Sunday (today) at 4 pm near Alghazi Tractor Factory along the Dera-Quetta highway.
