Two held with 300kg hashish

NOWSHERA, Jan 31: Nowshera police seized a huge cache of drugs from a fake ambulance and arrested two smugglers near Surya Khel on GT road here on Thursday.

Working on a tip-off, SSP Nowshera Qudratullah Khan Marwat constituted a raiding party headed by SHO Nowshera Kalan police station, inspector Jehanzeb.

The police party erected barricades on the road to check vehicles coming from Peshawar. They stopped an ambulance car (9241-Abbottabad) on suspicion.

The two men travelling in the vehicle were wearing Frontier Constabulary uniform.

On checking, the police party recovered 300kg hashish from the secret compartments of the vehicle and arrested the two men.

The police have registered a case and investigation have begun.
