KARACHI, Jan 21: The KESC has started restructuring of billing zones and the first zone is being set up at Defence where one-window facility will be offered to all the KESC consumers.
This was stated by the Managing Director, KESC, Tariq Sadozai in a meeting with the members of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry on Monday.
He said Defence area has been divided into four sections and thereafter, a separate billing zone for Korangi Industrial Area will be set up in KATI area with one-window facility.
The company will soon provide facility of payment of bills through the internet and the arrangement would be foolproof and it would not be possible for any one to hack it.
About Amnesty Scheme cases, he said, the final decision would be taken at the KESC board meeting on February 2.
The chairman, Advisory Board, Shaikh Manzar Alam said that the KESC chief should ensure that problems are resolved on permanent basis, and not on ad-hoc basis.
The chairman, KATI, Farhan-ur-Rahman hoped that decisions taken on January 19 meeting would be implemented.
