Demo held against LBs’ negligence

HUB, Jan 1: Residents of Hub staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday in front of Tehsil Nazim office, against the local bodies’ representatives for their negligence.

The protesters, led by Haji Razzaq and Dur Mohammed Baloch, chanted slogans against Tehsil authorities and held them responsible for the death of a two-and-a-half-year old Laila who fell in a open main hole on Sunday at Brohi Nagar and died. They also demanded to cover the main holes in the area for avoiding further incidents.

It was the maiden protest held against the local bodies in District Lasbela.

BAR MEETING: Balochistan Bar Council in a meeting at Gadani Rest House has empowered the council secretary to suspend any member found violating rules or doing extra jobs besides the practice.

The meeting, presided over by council Chairman Ashraf Ali Tanoli and Balochistan Advocate General, also discussed practitioner rules, benevolent fund and employees services rules.
