Mega power projects

KARACHI, Feb 7: Three mega electric power projects are being offered to the international investors at two road shows being organised by the Federal Ministry of Water and Power and the PPIB at Dubai and London.

The projects for which the international investment is being sought include a 450 megawatt gas-based power plant at Faisalabad, a 500 megawatt gas-based plant at Uch and a 350 dual fuel project near Lahore. The first two-day road wil be held at Dubai on February 20.

It will be inaugurated by UAE's Education Minister Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan. The second road show will be held on March 2 at London is expected to be inaugurated by a British minister.

The federal water and power minister Liaquat Jatoi, the Chairman of Board of Investment and senior officials will make presentation in the road shows and will also hold sideline meetings with the investors to discuss power issues of Pakistan.
