KARACHI, Feb 6: The Sindh Professor Lecturers' Association has said it would not accept the change made in the education calendar by the steering committee of the federal minister of education, Lt-Gen (Retd) Javed Ashraf Qazi.

The president of the Sindh Professor Lecturers' Association, Prof Manzoor Hussain Chishti and other office bearers in a statement said that the calendar should be changed with the consensus of all provinces and not at the will of just one province.

The statement added that the federal education minister would look into the matter and influence the decision, which the SPLA said was not in favour of education.

The SPLA demanded of the federal minister to withdraw the decision of starting the academic session from August, and to take action against elements conspiring against Sindh's education system. - PPI
