KARACHI: Elderly man commits suicide

KARACHI, Feb 5: An elderly man hanged himself in his Gulbahar house on Saturday after being fed up with domestic disputes.

Zaheer Saeed, 70, a resident of Nishtar Colony, locked himself in a room and committed suicide. The police could not find any foulplay and believed it was a suicide case.

ACCIDENT: Two men died after being hit by a truck on the Malir bridge on National Highway late Friday night.

Police said that a truck (JX-9158) hit from the rear a motorcycle on the Malir bridge. Two men on the motorbike received serious head injuries and died on the spot. The truck driver in a bid to save them also hit the railing of the bridge and overturned. As a result, the driver Khadim Hussain received injuries and was arrested by the police. One of the deceased was identified as Yusuf Baloch, 35 and the other one could not be identified.
