Two killed in road accident

MIRPURKHAS, Jan 20: Two people were killed when a motorcycle was hit by a tractor-trolley on the Digri-Dumbalo road near Bhogi Nohani village on Wednesday night.

The tractor-trolley (GT-2792) while overtaking hit the motorcycle, injuring Aman Talpur, 20, and Nooro Jogi, 22.

The injured were taken to the Digri taluka hospital from where they were referred to Hyderabad. They died on the way to the hospital.

In another incident, two people were injured in an accident near Mohammad Khan Junejo village on the Mirpurkhas-Sanghar road on Thursday.

A truck coming from Sanghar to Mirpurkhas rammed into a tree when its tie rod broke into two and the driver lost its control. As a result Anwar Arain and Zafar Pathan received head injuries. They were referred to a Hyderabad hospital.

TMA FUNDS: The Anti-Corruption Establishment recorded statements of officials of the TMA Mirpurkhas in a corruption case. Clerk Meraj, cashier Mir Maqbool, Babo Anwar and Manzoor recorded their statements.

ACE circle in-charge Khalid Nizamani said the record of the TMA was not handed over to the local government department in connection with the inquiry.
