KARACHI, Nov 8: Police are probing into the killing of a real-estate agent at Sea View late on Sunday night. Khawaja Zakir, 30, in a seriously wounded condition was rushed to the JPMC by a man passing through the Sea View. The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

SHO Darakhshan police station Ahsan Zulfiqar told Dawn that the passer-by picked up the wounded man, who pleaded to shift him to the hospital. The young man fainted shortly afterwards. The passer-by claimed that he thought the victim got injured in a hit-and-run accident.

Following postmortem examination at the hospital, it was revealed that the victim suffered torture marks. He had suffered a bullet wound in the middle of his chest.

ROBBERY: A delivery van of a distribution company was deprived of cash near Rehri Goth, Landhi, on Monday.

Police said that a delivery van supplying biscuits was intercepted by two persons on a motorcycle near Rehri Goth. After stopping the pickup truck, the armed suspects deprived the cashier of over Rs20,000 and escaped.
