KARACHI, Nov 1: Pakistan No:1 squash player Mansoor Zaman Will meet 6th seeded John White from Scotland in the second phase of first round of British Open Squash Championship at Nottingham on Tuesday with bleak chances of winning against him.
Mansoor who currently slipped to No: 29 from No: 23 will have to put herculean effort to oust his sixth seeded strong opponent.
Pakistan number 2 Shahid Zaman who managed his way in the main rounds through Qualifying rounds will also face a daunting task against second seed Thierry Lincou from France.
Pakistan's top women squash player Carla Khan the only Pakistani in the run for coveted title will face 9th seed Omneya Abdel Kawy from Egypt in second phase of first round.
The first two men's matches guaranteed a French quarter-finalist, with Renan Lavigne and Grgory Gaultier both winning gruelling encounters, while the final matches of the day saw Pontefract stablemates Lee Beachill and James Willstrop set up their own second round clash at the Albert Hall as they both recorded quick 3/0 victories.-PPI
