KARACHI, Oct 19: A division bench of High Court of Sindh on Tuesday ordered the Gulshan-i-Iqbal police to register an FIR in respect of disappearance of a man, Ali Mohammad.
The order came during hearing of a constitutional petition filed by Humaira Ali, wife of Ali who according to petition was taken into custody by a joint raiding party from the couple's residence in May this year.
When the petition came up for hearing, AAG and DAG in response to the court notice appeared and submitted that the agencies concerned and the police have expressed ignorance about the petitioner's husband.
The petitioner submitted that some of the men bearing appearance of personnel from law-enforcing agencies took her husband and she apprehended that he is in still in illegal custody.
WARRANTS ISSUED: A division bench of High Court of Sindh, comprising Justice Wahid Bux Brohi and Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery, on Tuesday issued non-bailable warrants of arrest against Javed Akhtar Pirzada, an accused in murder case of Justice Nizam Ahmed and his son Nadeem Ahmed.
The bench was seized with a reference sent by District and Sessions Judge, Central, trying the Justice Nizam murder case as Pirzada has jumped bail and is not attending the trial inside Karachi Central Prison.-APP
