KASUR, Aug 28: Hundreds of people paid homage to Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah on Saturday, the third and last day of the 247th Urs of great sufi poet.

Recitation of the Holy Quran and kafis of the saint and mahafil-i-sama were the main features.

People from all walks of life attended the celebrations, which included entertainment in the form of motorcycling and car driving in 'death well' and other stunts.

Haji Abdul Qadir, who had come from Gujranwala, said the Urs provided him an opportunity to visit Kasur. "I have been regularly visiting Kasur for the last 19 years to attend Urs.

Rizwan Kaleem, a sweet shop owner, said he never missed the celebrations because it gave him an opportunity to pay homage to the saint.

Traditional dhamal and milk sabeel also attracted a large number of people.

The people in the district observed a local holiday on Saturday.
