PCB U-19 tournament begins today

KARACHI, July 31: The PCB Under-19 Inter-district cricket championship gets under way from Sunday with 42 two-day matches in the nine regions scheduled in the opening round across the length and breadth of the country.

Schedule (Aug 1-2):

KARACHI REGION: Zone-I v Zone-V (Student Sports Ground); Zone-II v Zone-VII (Asifabad Sports Ground); Zone-III v Zone-Vi (TMC Ground).

LAHORE REGION: East Zone Whites v East Zone Blues (Mughalpura Institute Ground); West Zone Whites v West Zone Blues (LCCA Ground); North Zone Whites v North Zone Blues (Muridke).

FAISALABAD REGION: Faisalabad v Sargodha (Iqbal Stadium); Mianwali v Jhang (Sargodha); Bhakkar v Kasur (Jawwad Sports Complex, Faisalabad).

RAWALPINDI REGION: Rawalpindi v Islamabad (KRL Stadium); Azad Jammu Kashmir v Jehlum (Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium); Attock v Chakwal (ARL Ground).

MULTAN REGION: Rahimyar Khan v Rajanpur (Rahimyar Khan); Muzaffargarh v Layyah (Sports Ground, Multan); Bahawalpur v Dera Ghazi Khan (Bahawalpur); Multan v Bahawalnagar (Multan Cricket Stadium); Sahiwal v Vehari (Burewala); Okara v Khanewal (Okara).

HYDERABAD REGION: Jacobabad v Khairpur (Larkana); Larkana v Nawabshah (Rani Bagh Ground, Hyderabad); Shikarpur v Sukkur (Shikarpur); Hyderabad v Sanghar (Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad); Thatta v Mirpurkhas (Thatta); Dadu v Badin (Mirpurkhas).

PESHAWAR REGION: Peshawar v Swabi (Gymkhana Ground, Peshawar); Chitral v Bannu (Islamia College, Peshawar); Mansehra v Dir (Swabi); Dera Ismail Khan v Nowshera (Dera Ismail Khan); Charsadda v Tank (University Ground, Peshawar); Kohat v Mardan (Kohat); Swat v Fata (Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar); Abbottabad v Haripur (Abbottabad).

SIALKOT REGION: Sialkot v Sheikhupura (Jinnah Stadium, Sialkot); Gujrat v Gujranwala (Gujrat); Hafizabad v Mandi Bahauddin (Saga Ground, Sialkot).
