ISLAMABAD, July 31: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Saturday announced the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I (class XI) examination with 58.52 pass percentage, an official statement said.
In total, 31,903 candidates appeared in the examination, of which 18,671 passed all their six papers and were declared successful.
The number of students who failed in all six papers is 78, and 27 candidates are in the 'result withheld' category, the statement said.
Likewise, 7,074 students passed in five papers, 3,516 in four papers, 1,694 in three papers, 688 in two papers and 155 in just one paper.
In commerce group, 1,897 candidates appeared in the examination, of which 903 passed all their seven papers.
It was also announced that the candidates failing in one or more papers might reappear in the same along with papers of HSSC Part-II annual examination 2005, if otherwise eligible.
Applications for re-checking papers will be entertained within 30 days of declaration of result. Those candidates, whose result have been withheld on account of eligibility/fee etc., have been asked to fulfil the requirements at the earliest so that their results can be declared.
The result cards of regular candidates are being dispatched to the heads of their respective institutions.
The result is also being made available at the FBISE website www.fbise.edu.pk.
