KARACHI, Oct 29: There will be no public dealing at the University of Karachi on Nov 2 and 3 in connection with the general convocation of the university.
A spokesman for the university said on Monday that only those students, who were supposed to receive degrees at the convocation on Nov 3, would be allowed to enter the university premises, provided they presented their invitation cards and national identity cards at the main entrance of the university.
There would be no teaching at the university on November 2 and 3 in the morning shift, while evening classes would be held as per schedule, added the spokesman.
Meanwhile, organisers of the convocation have asked the graduates to report at the campus on Nov 2 at 9.30am for a rehearsal. About 400 candidates have been registered for convocation, which will be held on Nov 3.
Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro will preside over the event.
RESERVED SEATS: The University of Karachi has notified that admission applications against reserved seats for Honours and B. Pharmacy classes are available at the office of the Deputy Register (Academic), on payment of Rs300 during 9am to 1pm from Oct 29 to Nov 19, adds PPI.
The forms with all necessary documents will be accepted from Nov 15 to 25. The candidates have been directed to apply on open merit and appear in the aptitude test, where applicable.
