SARGODHA, June 1: Local traders on Saturday expressed concern over increase in prices of petroleum products.
The traders claimed frequent increase in petroleum prices had created unrest among the traders’ community as it would automatically enhance prices of several other commodities.
Traders’ leaders, including Rao Abdul Mannan, Mian Abdul Khaliq, Abdul Majeed and Shaikh Zafar Iqbal, demanded the government that rates of petroleum products should be reduced to save the hard-pressed community.
If the tehsil municipal administration remained adamant to imposing new taxes, the traders threatened they would not pay any tax.
