OKARA, March 27: The provincial housing and physical planning minister, Syed Raza Ali Gillani, has said there is no chance for Mian Manzoor Wattoo to get some office in the unified PML.

"I have no differences with the chief minister, but it is unjustified to grant Rs30 million to a person, who has joined the PML for vested interests," the minister said at the residence of PML-Q Secretary-General Mian Abdul Rashid after offering condolences for his father.

He said the party chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Husain, knew the people who had hurt the PML.

Laid to rest: Sub-Inspector Jehangir Kamyana, who was shot dead in an encounter with robbers on Friday, was laid to rest at his native Chak 422-GB near Tandlianwala in Faisalabad.

His funeral prayer was attended by people from all walks of life, including Sheikhupura Range DIG Syed Muhammad Saqlain Shah, District Nazim Syed Sajjad Haider and DCO Syed Iftikhar Husain Babar, at the District Courts Complex.

The deceased is survived by three wives, a daughter and a son.

Later, the DIG visited the DHQ hospital and inquired after police constable Mirza Ismail Khan.
