KARACHI, March 20: City Nazim Niamatullah Khan on Saturday distributed 10-kg bags of wheat flour among the city government employees for sale at the rate of Rs115 per bag.

Speaking to people gathered on the occasion, the nazim said that efforts were being made to ensure sale of atta to Karachiites at the fixed price.

At present, he pointed out, the 10-kg atta bag was being sold by traders at a rate of Rs180 which was out affordable to the lower and middle class people.

He said that on the city government stalls set up at Civic Centre, the 10-kg atta bag would be available at Rs115 and common man could benefit from the arrangement.

The atta stall had been set up with the cooperation of the CDGK's department of Investment Promotion and Enterprise.

Raisuddin Paracha, EDO IP&E, who was also present on the occasion said that 1,000 bags of atta would be sold through this stall every day.-APP
