KARACHI, March 12: Pakistan's express pacer Shoaib Akhtaron Friday said he was raring to go against the Indians and help his team win the first encounter. "I am raring to go and want to give my contribution to the team," Shoaib said, on the eve of the first ODI.
The 27-year-old pacer is seen as Pakistan's most potent weapon in a strong bowling arsenal and is tipped to create trouble for a formidable Indian batting line up.
Indian captain Saurav Ganguly raised the heat on Shoaib on his team's arrival, saying the tourists would derail the Rawalpindi Express on their first full Test tour of Pakistan since 1989.
The series has been built up as "Sachin vs Shoaib," but Shoaib played down the hype, saying he has no specific target.
"Eleven players will bat for India and I have no specific target, will bowl at all the batsmen with same vigour and determination to get wickets," said Shoaib.-AFP
