PESHAWAR, Jan 31: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has decided to observe the Kashmir Day, falling on Feb 5, and express solidarity with the Kashmiris.

The Jamaat-i-Islami, a component of the MMA, has also planned to observe the Kashmir Day. It will organize rallies to express solidarity with the people of the held valley.

Peshawar MMA chief Hakeem Abdul Waheed said bloc's secretary-general Maulana Fazalur Rehman, deputy chief Maulana Sami-ul-Haq and other leaders would also address a public meeting at the Khyber Bazaar on Thursday.

According to an official handout issued here on Saturday, Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani would lead a walk on Feb 5, which would start from the Milad Chowk, New Rampura Gate, and turn into a public meeting at Qissa Khwani Bazaar.

The Muslim Conference, Peshawar, had also planned to organize a public rally on the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

A provincial leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and the Nazim of union council Karimpura, Mohammad Saeed Butt, has appealed to all religious and political organizations to express the day in a befitting manner.

The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has vowed that it would not allow anybody to sabotage the decades-old heroic struggle of the Kashmiris for small political gains.
