LAHORE, Jan 24: District Nazim Mian Amer ordered suspension of an LDA director and two building inspectors, inquiry against a deputy director and lodging of an FIR against an assistant director at an open kutchery here on Saturday.

He ordered suspension of town planning director Malik Ejaz for failure to check construction of a building on a plot in Gulberg in violation of a stay order from a court.

Building inspector Rana Mushtaq was suspended for demanding Rs20,000 bribe for commercialisation of a private school in New Muslim Town.

The Nazim ordered suspension of building inspector Salim Durrani and an inquiry against the deputy director concerned on a complaint about an unauthorized construction in the N block of Samanabad.

He also ordered lodging of an FIR against compulsorily retired assistant director Muhammad Sharif for allotting five plots to his family members in a katchi abadi.

He ordered early decisions on all the pending cases regarding dereliction of duty against LDA officials.

PARKING FEE: The Nazim directed the TMO to make arrangements for collection of daily parking fee of Rs5 from every motorcycle rickshaw driver due to cancellation of the fee collection contract.

He said a fee receipt issued in one town would be valid for the entire city district for 24 hours. All the motorcycle rickshaw drivers would be required to pay the fee by 6pm daily. They would have to pay the fee along with 10 times fine afterwards.
