KARACHI: Rs2.56m paid to workers

KARACHI, April 20: The Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (Sessi) paid benefits of Rs2.56 million to workers last month, the Commissioner Sindh Social Security, Asif Mergoob Siddiqui, told a meeting on Wednesday. He said during the last month Rs66.645 million were received from 16,828 registered industrial and commercial institutions under the head of social security contribution, while Rs2.56 million were paid to covered workers and their families under various social security benefit heads.

He asked officials to register more institutes of the province, so that benefits could be provided to their workers. — PPI
