FAISALABAD, May 31: The district council has decided to conduct a survey of government schools to find out what problems they are facing.
This decision was taken at a council meeting held here on Friday at Jinnah Hall.
A three-member committee comprising EDOs of works and education and chairman of standing committee on education will submit its report in the next meeting.
The presiding officer reserved the committee room of the district council for women councillors to use it as office.
A number of councillors drew the attention of presiding officer towards different problems and demands of their areas which included improvement of facilities in schools, provision of gas in Samundri, urban transport and high rate of crime.
Women demanded increase in women welfare fund and reservation of seats for women in the public transport.
