KARACHI, May 29: The provincial education minister, Prof Anita Ghulam Ali, has said that the policy of the government is to enable persons with skills to be self-employed and undertake small income-generating ventures through up-dated skill development courses.

Also the controlling authority of the Sindh Board of Technical Education, certificate and short courses in knit wear technology have been initiated and gotten approved, she said in a statement on Wednesday.

She said that this will provide opportunities towards income generation for females and such courses are also being approved as the technical component in general education, she added.—PPI
