MIRPURKHAS: Inquiry into attack

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 1: The Kot Ghulam Mohammad police is conducting an investigation into a case lodged on January 29 under sections 324 and 506(ii) of the PPC on the complaint of one Abdul Rahim Kachhelo.

According to the complainant, he and his peasants were attacked by gunmen Naveed Kachhelo, Hafeezullah, Saleh Ahmedani, Saleh Gishkori, Mewo Chandio and Abbas Ali Shah on the land of Abdul Wahid Kachelo. The attackers opened fire on them but no one was hurt.

The investigating officer told this correspondent that had visited the place of the incident and met some witnesses who confirmed that an exchange of hot words had taken place between the two groups. He said that the accused had fired in the air and added that no arrests had been made so far.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A woman, Hastu, wife of Habbo Bheel, was hospitalized after she attempted suicide in the Khairy village in the jurisdiction of the Shadi Palli police station on Monday.
