DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 31: Rail traffic on the Dera Jacobabad section remained suspended for more than four hours on Monday after a powerful explosion damaged portion of track near the Darwaish Lashari railway station, some 25km from here.

PR officials said the explosive device went off at 2.45pm, two hours before the arrival of the Peshawar-bound Khushhal Express.

"The blast did cause damage to the rails which have now been repaired," DG Khan Station Master Qurban Ali Khan said in the evening. He added that no casualty had occurred.
