KARACHI, Jan 11: The seniority lists for all categories of teachers are being prepared with great care and vigilance, said the Executive District Officer (EDO) Education of the city government on Tuesday.

It said that different centres/cells including the Government Boys Secondary School No I Nazimabad and office of the District Officer - Education, Local Government and Special Education, Jail Road had been established for the purpose.

The consolidated seniority lists of junior school teachers working in government boys elementary/lower secondary and higher secondary schools in Karachi have been prepared. These lists include as many as 3,216 junior school teachers.

Seniority lists would be displayed at 53 centres for inviting objections, if any, within a period of one month, it was further pointed out. The lists would also be available on the websites of the city government and the Education and Literacy Department, government of Sindh.

Meanwhile, it was stated that since the introduction of the devolution plan, no seniority list of teachers could be prepared owing to the merger of five districts of Karachi into one city district. - APP
