PESHAWAR, Dec 22: Dir police on Wednesday recovered a lady health visitor (LHV) of the basic health unit of Nihag Dara, who had been missing for one week, says an official statement.
The health visitor, Zarsanga, daughter of Shaaban, a resident of Luqman Banda in Dir district, mysteriously disappeared from the BHU Nihag Darra onDec 15. The police had registered a case of kidnapping on the report of the mother of the girl.
NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani had taken strong notice of the incident in a meeting of the provincial cabinet here on Tuesday and had directed police to recover her within 48 hours.
Acting on some information, the local police on Wednesday raided a house in Mather Banda and recovered the girl along with her alleged paramour Mehraban, son of Hamim Rozi Khan, a resident of Nihag Dara.
Miss Zarsanga in her statement to police said that she have not been kidnapped and that she went on own will with Mehraban, the official statement said. She further stated that she was not tortured by anyone during this period.
