GUJRANWALA, Nov 5: A delegation of Indian industrialists and traders visited various industrial units here on Friday. The delegates, including women, appreciated Gujranwala products, particularly cloth and jewellery , and said these two items were very popular in marriage ceremonies in India.

Speaking at the local chamber of commerce and industry, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Rovi Wag stressed the need to promote trade relation between India and Pakistan and exchange of trade delegation to enhance foreign exchange and eliminate poverty.

He said both the countries should start direct import and export without support of any country. He revealed that the Indian business community had already declared Pakistan their 'most favoured nation' while Pakistan should also extended its cooperation in this connection. He said they came in Pakistan of 1,000 million people's market for trade and strengthening the relation.

The other members of the delegation stressed the need to construct joint projects in both the countries to boost trade and quality of products. They demanded that hurdles between the two nations should be removed.

Earlier, Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Asad Elahi and other office-bearers welcomed the Indian delegation at chamber office and gave suggestions regarding promotion of trade and industry between two countries.
