PESHAWAR, Sept 23: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested two persons on the charge of offering Hajj and Umra services without permission from the department concerned, says an official.

He told this correspondent that an FIA team raided the premises of a travel agency in the Khyber Bazaar on Thursday morning and arrested its owner Iftikhar Khan for not possessing valid documents, said Inspector Shahid Ilyas.

He said that the FIA team recovered four Pakistani passports and other documents from his possession. The Federal Investigation Agency official said that the same team on Wednesday conducted a raid on another travel agency and arrested its owner Abdul Aqeel, a resident of Nowshera, also for operating without legal documents.

Shahid Ilyas said that the accused was operating in Peshawar on the same license in Lahore, which was illegal. He quoted rules and said all travel agencies should have permissions from the deputy controller of the department of tourism services of their respective regions.

The Federal Investigation Agency also recovered illegal tickets of many international airlines from the possession of the accused.
