Beachill ends Nicol's reign

BOSTON, Sept 22: Second seeded Lee Beachill over hwlmed World No1 Peter Nicol in straight games in the first all-English final of United States open squash championship , simultaneously taking over the Londoner's title hold on Boston event and his position as No1 in PSA World Rankings.

Beachill's 42 minute 11-8 11-9 11-9 victory was only his third PSA World Tour victory over his Nicol, bringing a first US Open crown and enough rankings points to guarantee becoming World No1 for the first time in October listing. -PPI
