KARACHI, Sept 14: Two men, including an activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement, were shot dead in separate incidents in Liaquatabad. A man was shot dead and his associate was injured when some armed men opened fire at them in Liaquatabad on Tuesday.

Police said that Mohammad Hameed, 50, and Shafeeq Ahmed, 30, were standing near a house in F.C. Area when some armed men on two motorcycles opened fire at them and fled. They said that both injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where Hameed was pronounced dead and Shafeeq was provided treatment.

An activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement was shot dead in Liaquatabad on Monday night. Police said that armed men shot at and wounded Arshad Husain, 35, near Al-Falah mosque within Super Market police limits. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said the suspect was in drug peddling business.

ACCIDENTS: Three persons died in accidents in different parts of the city on Tuesday. In Model Colony, a college student died in a road accident. According to the police, Rab Nawaz, 22, was knocked down to death by a water tanker. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. Police arrested the driver of the water tanker.

In a hit-and-run accident, a man died near Cantonment Railway Station. The body was shifted to JPMC. In Malir, a man was knocked down to death by a speeding vehicle near Memon Goth.
