ISLAMABAD, Sept 10: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday said that a special cell was being set up in the Prime Minister's House to coordinate development schemes.

Addressing the parliamentary group of the Pakistan Muslim League and allied parties at the Parliament House, the premier said that the proposed cell would be headed by an officer of additional secretary level.

He indicated on starting a series of group meetings with treasury members from next week. The meeting started late by half an hour, subsequently delaying the National Assembly session by an hour.

The objective of such meetings, said the prime minister, would be to get first-hand information from members about their problems and resolve them. Those meetings would also help continue the consultation process between the premier and the MPs on national issues, he added.
