Rs672m Swabi district budget passed

SWABI, Oct 27: The district council of Swabi passed a Rs672.76 million budget for 2001-02 on Saturday.

Presenting the budget, district Nazim Sher Zaman Sher said that Rs12.54 million had been allocated for uplift schemes and Rs42.24m for non-development expenditures.

Likewise, Rs59.55 million for the Khushal Pakistan programme, Rs15.31m for social action programme and Rs1.43m had been allocated for education.

The Nazim said the development grant under the Khushal Pakistan Programme would be equally distributed among all 56 union councils.

After discussion, the council members approved the budget.
