KARACHI, Sept 1: The city government has announced that admission forms for first year classes in city colleges and higher secondary schools can be submitted for another two days.

Adviser to City Nazim on Education, Nasim Siddiqui, said on Wednesday that in view of the hardships faced by remaining students, the government had decided to accept admission forms on September 2 and 3 at five designated branches of the Habib Bank Limited.

Students are advised to purchase and submit forms at the said branches during working hours, as no further extension in the deadline would be given. The designated bank branches include; Sakhi Hassan (North Nazimabad), Hasan Square (Gulshan-e-Iqbal), Babar Market (Landhi), Malir Halt and Rizvia Society (Nazimabad).

Applicants who are likely to get their mark-sheets from the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, after September 3, have been advised to contact the office of the Centralized Admission Committee of the city government at the PECHS College from 3pm to 6pm.

The city government had earlier set August 28 as the last date for submission of forms. So far 96,000 forms have been sold, while 83,000 duly filled forms have been received from students, said an official of the centralized admission committee.
