QUETTA, Aug 22: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf said on Saturday that all issues should be settled through mutual understanding as violence, confrontation and instigation would complicate the situation, that would not be in the interest of the people.
In a statement, the chief minister expressed satisfaction over the acceptance by the major opposition parties of the government's offer to resolve problems through negotiation.
Jam Yousuf said the government and the opposition, with positive understanding, could remove the ambiguity regarding major projects and establishment of cantonments.
He said completion of the development programme would enhance the financial resources of the province and change the lifestyle of the people.
He said the province could not overcome its problems and lay a foundation for its development without exploration and utilization of its resources. He said the confrontational stance had to be changed to improve the situation.
