WASHINGTON, Aug 8: Pakistanis and Indians living in the greater Washington area have planned a peace march on Aug 14 to celebrate their 57th Independence Day.
The organizers have chosen 4pm in the afternoon for the rally when it will still be the Pakistani independence day in the United States while people in India would have begun their independence day celebrations.
In a flyer distributed this week, the organizers urged Indians and Pakistanis of the DC metro area to "celebrate the day as a day of peace for non-violent conflict resolution of all issues."
