Opposition to requisition Senate

ISLAMABAD, Aug 6: The opposition will submit a requisition notice to the Senate secretariat on Saturday to convene a session of the upper house to discuss law and order in the country and the killing of two Pakistanis in Iraq, sources said.

The sources on Friday told Dawn that the opposition members had prepared a three-point agenda for the Senate session, being requisitioned by them under Article 61 read with Article 54 of the Constitution.

Under the law, Senate Chairman Mohammadmian Soomro is bound to summon the session within 14 days.
